Stolen Car is the eccentric musical family formed around the talents of London-based tunesmith Joe Card. Writing songs that are as intimate as they are anthemic, Joe's singing and songwriting is in the grand tradition of such British storytellers as Paul Weller and Billy Bragg, whilst also being compared to American artists like Bright Eyes and Bruce Springsteen.

The 'Car's chief co-conspirators are Barbara Bartz on violin, Ben Phillips on guitar, Aaron Griffiths on bass and Oli Leonard on drums. Together, they create a unique brand of folk-inflected pop, refreshingly free from pretension.

HeartSongs is Stolen Car's debut album. It was produced by Martin Saunders and also features a vocal cameo from long time collaborator Gemma Carroll on 'In The Morning.' Songs from the record are streaming on MySpace and Last FM, and you can order the CD from this website.
